She's Back

She came to visit me today.

And yesterday, and sometimes, now,

at work. She got a job with tech support,

she assigned me a new extension,

she calls and she calls, she asks me

to transfer, she knows that no one does that

anymore, she asks me to fax, she said

I would be the best person to do it

she said “just photocopy this” she said

she would help but then I was just suddenly

doing it.

she said, “just set up your voicemail” 

she looked me up, I said 

“I thought I was too stupid to

set up my voicemail” she said

“I’m coming to visit you” nine, ten

months ago she started coming by

again, that’s when tech support

hired or fired her, I don’t know which

but it really got her going at me

she’s really going at me now,

she said “follow my instructions”

she said “If you start really crying

then there are no rules” she said

“I’ll walk you through it” she said 

“Tell them you have a problem, they’re

staring, they’re scared, you’re 

incandescent with power” she said

then you can just

restart

like nothing happened but first

you have to just

shut down.

She told me to just

shut down.

I wish 

she had not come back

I wish

she would go back

into Hell.
