exploded building guts

a friend cleaning in mysterious ways

girls doing makeup

myself stealing food

frog jumping into the campfire

finding joy in a dress

a biker going over the hood of a car

exquisite ears

a president in person

a machete in the bushes

sliding the car downhill on ice

the same fight starting

a password that works

your face on the beach

finding the animal

finding you when we got lost

the man saying he would kill me

hidden files on the computer

my car in the parking lot

a locket in the sand

an unknown area

headlights on the horizon

keys in the woods

the person shoved into a curb

someone i saw in a dream

my name in a cursive tattoo

a friend across the street

the end of the trail

the word you were looking for

an unexpected yes

a letter from the teacher

darkest night

the big city from above

still having energy

a promise kept over time

the same face

the doorknob screw

sum of more than parts

matching outfit synergy

bunnies under the pit

winter blooming

the word you’ve imagined

morning

Glynis Has Your Number

She does and now I know exactly when I should not schedule surgery, or rely on people,
but it turns out my life path is the same as Allison's
and so numerology has me and so does my intent to not start anything
13 minutes past the hour, or 31 minutes, it's 13 backwards, or 47 minutes before the
hour has ended, only 13 to go, and I can't leave pages unread on these
numbers either, I also place exactly 3 tissues in my pocket before flying and wear the
same t-shirt there and back, but it's fine if it's washed in between.

The mere thought of Henry VIII has always sent me into a blind rage and now this-
I could have had incredible smoke and mirrors blessing my superstition
and a lifeline of annoyed friends to focus group my concerning behaviour
but no, it's just me, haunted, one shoe on, on eve of action,
checking the microwave clock matches the one on the thermostat,
which matches the digital radio, oh and the oven.

Home Away

On the number three line

-- the yellow one -- to Delicias

I saw a pink Yankees hat

in the neighboring car

The man in the next seat

laid his head across

the owner's shoulder

Tired drunk in love

As if those things could be

picked apart

The one from the other

The man from the other man

The head from the shoulder

The train from the track

Home and away

One and the same

Everyone right back

where they belong

Playing for the same team
