Rattle On

Frozen dispute of the past
pulled past from out back
with the ice tong
it's all you can do to
avoid reanimation
because the hauntology
of cryogenics -
in person now, just seems
there is reanimating in real time,
there's no death like
knowing we're all going to die
and so we pop the pill
biohack,
explode out the ashes,
loudly proclaim
here it is I am the experiment
the cheat, the design, the
thick wad of cash,
the back pocket bulging with change,
the dad galloping in the
car park
full of beans,
of shit
cryogenics just seems
the past hooting that
no, it's the body melting,
see?
Skin seeming supple again,
glistening as it slides off
the alabaster
and pooling up,
it's the body melting,
not the ice,
it's macabre
we love it.

At Night All Cats Are Grey

Except for the ones who live in New Mexico

and light up the sage with a nuclear glow,

warning of dangers long-buried below.

Who created these creatures so long ago?

All they will tell me is: if you know, you know.
