FAILED LATKES

reckoning saturday bodies bashing their blood about

no one cares i just love it when the oil works and it isn't now
but full sound full oil old favorites hitting again 
yesterday i was alone and i loved to be alone
strangers liked me because i liked them
we laughed about the arbitrary sanctions on 
media mail the way people take other peoples
drink orders the rain and all it does to the 
material world alone i wanted to cry for all it does
beyond, green curtains, the japanese mountain climbing boots 
not being ready for 11 year olds to be 
11, alone at last i thought 
“music fills you” then laughed 
the endless dance
left the potatoes in the oven too long 
because we were reckoning and then 
took them out of the fridge too quick 
because we needed
