Do We All Agree About Horses?

Horses are herd animals

Horses do not flourish, refreshed in solitude

Horses develop stable vices

Horses have never been wild

Horses can talk

Horses love hierarchy

Do we all agree about horses?

It is my assumption that everyone wants to be a horse’s favorite.

In the movies if the horse likes you, you’re going to win.

Especially the bad horse. The naughtier the horse, the better the person beloved by the horse.

That is the rule and I believe we all agree.

Can anyone out there tell me if I am right or wrong?

Can a horse tell me if I am correct in my assessments?

Which is an assessment about people, not horses.

Personally I do not care for horses

But I would still be devastated to be personally rejected by one

(a circumstance that contributes to my ambivalence towards them).

Charger, courser, destrier, hackney, palfrey, rouncer, sumpter

Unicorn, pegasus, centaur, hippogriff, all of them toothy

Judgey, waiting to be approached by the One.

Did Jesus have a horse? A.I. says no. A donkey.

Donkeys are a whole other situation.

You don’t have donkey girls. You don’t seduce a people

With a donkey. You don’t need a donkey to talk to you.

But now I’m seeing that maybe they’re the pious ones.

Now I’m onto cultural references to donkeys.

But that didn’t come from within,

The deep recesses of my subconscious and possibly feminine self.

That came from without. The influence of easy information.

The sort of thought that does not come from a horse.

A horse would speak in riddles.

We all think about it, right? Once you stop wishing your cat would talk,

You move on to the big stuff. Literally. A horse!

That would be a get.

That would be a voice from the unknowable nexus of ancestors’ intervention and God’s will.

That would be the natural unnatural that makes us majestic,

We bipedal vessels of infinite longing

We vassals of capital, in our solitary shame

Is any of this something one needs to explain?
