Poem a Day 2025

 It’s all about who’s read all fours and who hasn’t who’s ready to burn it down and who’s standing in front of their house of cards trying to block it from the wind no no Miranda July wouldn’t agree in such a dichotomy my friend has a partner of four years and she read all fours but he hasn’t and he’s the one who wants to burn it down sitting manic on my couch rocking his face towards mine and cackling high off the feeling of giving in to the want some couples are threatened when they hear about another couple crumbling apart and I do feel sad for her because she read all fours and doesn’t want to burn it down but he does and she had maybe wanted kids and he didn’t and she kinda went with his thing because you can’t force someone but still those were four important maybe childbearing years of course I read all fours and I don’t feel too tempted to burn it down but I did really like it and especially the part about the importance of barn dances and how we should have the chance to put our bodies close to someone in a socially sanctioned way the pheromones exchanging the thrill without some huge consequence and processing a sweet bonfire then you go back to your tent and rest your bones next to those other bones you’ve been hanging with for so long now
